NOWSA is a network organised by swimmers for swimmers. Our goals are:

• To advise and support Northland open water swimmers​

• To network open water swimmers and events in Northland

• To train and connect local observers for Northland marathon swims, provide ratification of records and awards systems and provide recommendations for local experienced boat pilots

• To support grants for Northland swimmers towards marathon swims around the globe

• To provide adult pool based training squads with a focus on open water swimming

• To promote Northland as a destination for open water swimming and network with other regions
